International Investors Association YASED Marked its 27th Anniversary

YASED, the principal representative of world’s leading investors in Turkey, is now 27 years old. YASED celebrated its anniversary with a special night held on 12 September Wednesday at Istanbul Maslak Park Orman, together with a high number of guests from the business world, public establishments, NGOs, and foreign embassies where singer Fatih Erkoç took stage.

The night, hosted by YASED Chairman Tahir Uysal, Secretary General Mustafa Alper and the Board Members, was attended by previous chairmen of the Association, Faruk Yöneyman and Şaban Erdikler as well.

Beşiktaş District Governor Nihat Nalbant, Capital Markets Board Chairman Turan Erol, Istanbul Provincial Director of Directorate General of Press and Information Necmettin Altuntaş, US Consul General Sharon Anderholm Wiener, British Consul General Barbara Hay, Consul General of Japan Hironao Matsutani, Consul General of Russia Alexander Ivanoviç Krivenko, Honorary Consul of Canada Banu Tesal, representatives from consulates of France, Greece and Egypt, and many representatives from the business world and NGOs   such as DEİK, TÜGİAD, TABA, TÜGİDER, TEGV were among guests that participated in the celebrations.

The night, honored by congratulation messages received from Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Ministers was opened with a welcome address of YASED Chairman Tahir Uysal. Chairman Uysal in his speech, pointed out that Turkey is distinguished as one of the major players of global competition and added, ”The encouraging developments in FDI inflows to Turkey accomplished in recent years will grow yet further in the years ahead; priorities should therefore be designated properly in order not to loose this momentum”. Following his opening address, Uysal presented a commemorative plaque to former YASED Chairman Şaban Erdikler. As he received the plaque, Erdikler said, “the new management will carry the flag further”.

The rain was interpreted as the “blessing of international investments” by the participants, who in the meantime enjoyed the songs of Fatih Erkoç.
