An important change of duty is taking place at the International Investors Association of Turkey (YASED) with the new year. Mustafa Alper, who has been carrying out the post of Secretary General for the last seven years, is getting ready to hand over his duties to Özlem Özyiğit by December 31, 2010.
This handover has been planned for the end of 2010, when YASED will be completing its 30th year. It has been stated that Mustafa Alper, who has served as YASED Secretary General for many years, will continue serving as Advisor to the Board of YASED.
Özlem Özyiğit, a graduate of the Business Administration Department of Boğaziçi University, completed her Finance Master by doing a double major on Corporate Financing and Banking at the Georgia State University on a Fulbright scholarship. Starting her business life at the Saudi American Bank, Özyiğit later worked at the Garanti Investment Bank. Crossing over to Finansinvest in 1996, Özyiğit was promoted as the Deputy General Manager Responsible for Investment Banking in 2000, and was appointed to Executive Board Membership in 2007. Carrying out this duty within the structure of Finansbank until 2010, Özlem Özyiğit provided consultancy to domestic and foreign companies on company mergers and takeovers, public offerings, privatizations, project financing and structuring. During her management period, she completed consultancy projects for 48 public offerings, 31 company mergers and acquisitions and 18 privatizations.
