Academic Research Competition organized by YASED with the objective of encouraging university students to head for economic and social researches was organized for the 10th term in 2008-2009 academic year.

The title of this year's competition was “The Effects of International Investments on Local Industry and SMEs in Turkey".

None of the works deserved the first prize according to the evaluation of the jury.

Second prize: Şerafettin Özsoy, Istanbul Technical University, Chemical Engineering & Management Engineering 

Third prize: Mustafa Malkoç Yaşar, Zonguldak Karaelmas University, Economics Department
