The seminar organized by YASED, in cooperation with the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, in Ankara, on October 24, 2011, has been successfully completed with the participation of both public and private institutions.
 
Within the context of the seminar, the report prepared by YASED, entitled “Protection of Intellectual Property Rights: Impact on Foreign Direct Investment-2011” has been presented. We, hereby, would like to present a complimentary copy of this report to your attention.

The report puts forth the multidimensional relationship on the world between the protection of intellectual property rights and foreign direct investment, the economic effects of intellectual property violations and investment opportunity losses, additional burden generated on public finance; and the potential gains in cases the measures necessary for the protection of intellectual and industrial property rights are taken, with comparative examples and gives concrete suggestions in this connection.
